Your Role

Job Purpose

You will lead key growth projects across the business, focusing on new product development, launches, process improvements, and operational projects. The role requires strong coordination across departments, cultures, and time zones, ensuring projects move from idea to launch through clear planning, stakeholder management, accountability, and execution. Responsibilities include feasibility checks, product development, trials, packaging, costing, documentation, production readiness, and final launch coordination.

Your Responsibilities

New Product Development & Launch Projects

  • Manage new product development projects from idea to implementation.
  • Coordinate between Product Development, Production, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Packaging, Finance, and external partners.
  • Create clear project timelines, responsibilities, milestones, and decision points.
  • Ensure that product trials, sensory evaluations, costing, packaging development, customer feedback, and production readiness happen on time.
  • Track open issues and risks, escalate bottlenecks early, and ensure follow-through.
  • Support documentation for new products, including specifications, launch checklists, trial reports, and handover documents.
  • Make sure that new products are not only developed, but properly handed over into regular operations.

Process Improvement & Change Management

  • Support operational and organizational change projects linked to business growth.
  • Help structure processes that are currently informal or person-dependent.
  • Coordinate process changes across teams and ensure that they are properly implemented.
  • Follow up on agreed actions and make sure responsible people deliver.
  • Support the creation and improvement of SOPs, workflows, checklists, and project documentation.
  • Help teams move from “we discussed this” to “this is clearly owned, documented, and implemented.”

Project Management & Execution Discipline

  • Build and maintain project plans, trackers, meeting notes, action lists, and status reports.
  • Ensure every project has clear owners, deadlines, priorities, and next steps.
  • Proactively remind, follow up, challenge, and escalate where necessary.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable in a respectful but firm manner.
  • Identify delays, unclear responsibilities, resource gaps, and decision bottlenecks.
  • Provide regular updates to management on project status, risks, and required decisions.

International Coordination

  • Work closely with colleagues and partners in Ghana, Europe, and other international markets.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams across different cultures and time zones.
  • Support communication between commercial teams and production/operations.
  • Ensure that customer-driven projects are translated into realistic internal execution plans.

What Qualifications you bring

Experience in food safety systems.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.

Work Experience

At least 4–7 years of professional experience in project management, operations, product development, or process improvement in FMCG, food production, food processing, manufacturing, or consumer goods.

Career Excellence

Experience in international project management or working with international stakeholders.

Team Work

Strong understanding of cross-functional project work involving production, quality, procurement, sales, and finance.

Communication

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Microsoft Proficiency

Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, or similar project management tools.

Your Advantage

  • Experience in food manufacturing, chocolate, confectionery, snacks, ingredients, or private label production.
  • Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Experience with product launch processes, stage-gate systems, SOP development, or ERP implementation.
  • Experience working with European customers or international quality requirements.
  • Experience in a fast-growing company where structures are still being built.
