Your Role
Job Purpose
To lead, implement, monitor and continuously improve environmental management and occupational health and safety (EHS) systems within the factory. The role ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements, food safety standards and organizational policies while promoting a safe, healthy and environmentally sustainable workplace.
Your Responsibilities
Lead our Safety and Environmental Management
- Develop and implement environmental, health and safety (EHS) systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations through liaison with regulatory bodies and timely statutory reporting.
- Monitor environmental performance (air, water, waste), pest control activities and workplace safety conditions to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections and audits, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and ensure proper reporting and resolution.
- Deliver EHS training, inductions and awareness programs to employees, contractors and visitors.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of emergency systems including firefighting equipment and emergency preparedness plans.
- Maintain accurate EHS records, reports and performance data including key safety and environmental indicators.
- Lead internal and external audits and support certification and compliance requirements.
- Promote a strong safety and environmental culture across the organization.
- Collaborate with Quality and other departments to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory and certification requirements.

What Qualifications you bring
Experience in food safety systems.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG.
Certifications
Relevant certifications in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH), Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001), HACCP or related fields are considered a strong advantage.
Skills
Technical Competency
EHS Regulations
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations (EPA, OSHA and local laws).
Risk and Compliance
Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and compliance audits.
Environmental Monitoring
Knowledge of pest control, sanitation and environmental monitoring systems.
Data Analysis
Data analysis, reporting and trend evaluation skills.
Microsoft Office
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
